Hi-Tech TMT is manufactured using Billet Steel. Billet made TMT Bars offers significant benefits over traditional ingot made TMT in terms of consistency and quality. Our in-house steel melting shop is equipped with two Induction Furnaces and a Continous Caster to manufacture Billets as per our own exacting quality standards
Ladle Pouring of the Liquid Metal ensures that no blow holes are formed during Billet manufacturing. This ensures that the TMT that you use is unlikely to slit during use.
Purging during ladle pouring also ensures uniformity of the chemical composition in the finished TMT.
Billets have a highly uniform grain structure as there is uniform pressure applied during the metal forming process in the continous caster
Rapid cooling through a water spray system results in the formation of a martensitic rim while the core is still hot austenitic
Heat flows from the core to the outer rim tempering the layer into a Tempered martensic structure
The austenitic core cools down and transforms into a ductile ferrite - pearlite strucutre
Chemical compositions of the Billets are analysed before being unloaded at the rolling facility.
Billets are charged into the re-heating furnace according to analysed batches.
The process of Re-Heating and Rolling is controlled in such a way that the temperature of the bar at the last pass is a constant at around 950oC.
The dimensions, shapes and angles of the ribs and lugs are strictly controlled to ensure uniformity.
Samples are drawn every 30 minutes and checked for ribs and lugs finish, section weight and yield strengths.
Random samples are drawn and tested to ensure that they confirm to the norms prescribed by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
At Hi-Tech TMT Steel Bar, we take our quality control very seriously and begin our process right from the raw material we procure, the billets we manufacture to the TMT bars that we dispatch. Each division has its own seperate testing facilities to ensure autonomy in the control procedures. Controls in the Melting Procedures.
We ensure that yield strength and section weight as per BIS norms and remain within a pre-defined range. This consistency will ensure an ease of planning and greater accountability at your site or your store.
We maintain our entire TMT bars inventory in a 35,000 sq.f. shed in uniform lots. Further we have a FiFO policy(First In First Out) of stock management to ensure that the materials is dispatched from our factory to your site or shop as fresh as possible.
We maintain the length of our bars at 40 feet(12.192 meters) in conjuction with nationally and internationally accepted norms.
Each dispatch is accompanied with our in house test certificate which details each lot's chemicals and physical properties.
Our experienced dispatch team will coordinate and ensure that your material reached your site or shop on time
